We recently replaced several radiators at the home of a couple on Callowbrook lane in Rubery, the Bromsgrove district of Worcestershire.
Here we will outline the steps we take when replacing a radiator (feel free to follow this guide if you are a keen DIYer – if you require a professional – give us a call on: 07885 403609).- First of all, you will need to turn off your water supply.
- Once the water supply has been turned off, you will need to drain each radiator that you plan to replace. Ensure you have a towel whilst bleeding the valves. Remember that any plumbing involving pipe works will be covered by a number of safety regulations. If you’re unsure about the regulations – call us on: 07885 403609.
- Once all the radiators being replaced have been drained, it’s time to remove the old radiator. Ensure you close the bleed valve with your radiator key.
- Once removing the radiator, you may decide that it requires decorating, now is the best time to get that done!
- Time to hang your new radiator. Bare in mind that a new radiator may require new wall brackets to ensure it hangs correctly.
